50th Anniversary
2021
I reviewed the company’s historical timeline and past marketing materials to understand its tone and visual language, which informed the 50th anniversary identity.
After sketching a range of concepts, I developed three distinct directions and expanded each into a cohesive branding system applied across key collateral. The work was presented to the Head of Marketing and shared with the CEO, who praised the quality of in-house design—an early win that helped build credibility and trust within the team.

In addition to the branding, I also led the creation of a commemorative video played during the anniversary event, which welcomed guests from across Western Asset’s 50-year history.
At the time, I was just beginning to grow my skills in After Effects and saw this as an opportunity to stretch creatively. I developed multiple storyboards, helped establish the visual direction, researched archival content, and created animated transitions to integrate with interview footage.
I also saved the company significant cost by figuring out how to update a previously outsourced animation in-house—avoiding an expensive round of external revisions.
That moment stood out as both a personal milestone and a turning point in my relationship with the team, and I believe it was one of the reasons I was hired full-time shortly after.
