Yggdrasil Map
2014
Inspired by Nordic mythology, I created a detailed map of the mythological cosmos centered around Yggdrasil, the World Ash.
I was surprised by how difficult it was to find a comprehensive, visually clear version of this cosmology, so I set out to make my own. My goal was to include as much detail as possible while keeping the design clean, minimal, and easy to read. I researched a wide range of sources to cross-reference mythological geography and symbolism.
The result is a black and white digital print, available in two sizes, designed to feel both educational and iconic. It functions as a piece of visual storytelling as much as a reference chart.
